Prescription. Porridge Oats

In line with the post a couple of weeks ago about the benefits of oatmeal, be sure to visit it to get to know them, I bring you an ideal recipe for breakfast.

You already know that my recipes are always for both adults and children. My daughter loves it! so this porridge oatmeal could not be missing from the cookbook.

I like this recipe because it is easy, fast, and very versatile. It solves both a breakfast and a snack and you can also do it in a thousand ways. Today I bring you the most classic.

 

Porridge Oats

Ingredients :

¼ or 1/3 cup oatmeal, depending on whether you are a woman or a man

1 cup of water

Cinnamon

Fruit of our choice

A handful of nuts

Egg (optional)

 

Elaboration :

In a saucepan add the oats, the water and while stirring, wait until the water is consumed.

Once the water has been consumed, it can be served, add a little cinnamon and the fruit that we like the most. A few slices of banana, blueberries, strawberries, an apple passed through the microwave… Also nuts.

And ready to eat!

** Personally I like that it is not too thick, so when serving I add a splash of almond milk.

Now you may wonder, and what do we make with the egg? If you like, before the water is finished consuming, while the oats are cooking, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the egg, beat well. When it is well-integrated, put it back to the fire for another minute and that’s it.

It is always advisable to add a little protein to breakfast to keep you more satiated during the day and the egg is a protein of high biological value and despite what is believed, it does not increase cholesterol, so do not be afraid of eggs.
